The Overdose Trainer Pilot Program is a grant opportunity from SAMHSA which is the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration organization who works to end homelessness among people with mental health and substance use disorders. Our grant provides training for providers and families who have dealt with persons who use illicit substances and may have overdosed or have the potential to overdose by training in Narcan and CPR administration. Cohorts one and two began July 10th and July 17th. Cohort participants must attend the program for six months. After program completion the participant will receive a certificate of completion as a Trainer which is renewable every two years.
