Centering group prenatal care adheres to the recommended 10 prenatal visits, with each session lasting 90 minutes. This extended duration provides women with ten times more time with their healthcare provider. Moms actively participate in their care by managing tasks such as weight and blood pressure checks and recording their health data. Plus, they receive dedicated private time with their provider for personalized belly check-ups.
After completing health assessments, the provider and support staff gather with moms in a circle. Together, they facilitate discussions and interactive activities aimed at addressing crucial health topics while also allowing space for questions and topics introduced by mothers.
We are currently enrolling new patients with due dates from 09/11/2024 to 10/16/2024!
Each group consists of 8-12 women all due at a similar time, allowing mothers to get to know each other on a personal, meaningful level over the course of their pregnancy journey. These bonds lead to lasting friendships and connections beyond what traditional care can offer.
Better Health Outcomes
Clinically proven better health outcomes such as reduced risk of preterm birth.
More Time with Your Provider
More hours of prenatal education so you feel ready and confident to birth and care for your baby.
Self-Care Empowerment
Moms take an active role in managing their healthcare and have ownership of their health information.
Community Support & Friendship
Women cherish the company of fellow mothers sharing similar experiences, offering mutual support and encouragement. Centering moms cultivate enduring friendships and serve as invaluable resources to each other during this exciting yet sometimes challenging phase of their lives.
Confidence & Eliminating Costs
Centering moms are more equipped for labor, delivery, and newborn care. Practices note a reduction in after-hours calls and emergency visits from Centering moms, attributed to their enhanced understanding of pregnancy norms and potential concerns. This means mothers may save money that otherwise would have been spent on exorbitant emergency room costs.
