Advancing Obstetrical Care with Samsung V7 Ultrasound Technology

In the heart of the Vickery Meadow area of Dallas, HHM Health’s Women’s Clinic stands as a beacon of hope and equitable healthcare for a diverse community. Empowering women’s health has always been at the core of our mission, and we’re proud to introduce a revolutionary addition that is reshaping obstetrical care – the Samsung V7 ultrasound machine. In this blog post, we delve into the incredible impact of this technology on our clinic’s services, the difference it’s making for high-risk pregnancies, and our plans to extend this innovative care to more communities.

Embracing Technology for Equitable Obstetrical Services:

Navigating the challenges of language barriers and transportation can be daunting for many of our patients. However, HHM Health’s commitment to bridging these gaps led us to a game-changing solution – partnering with a local Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician. This high-risk Obstetrical specialist wholeheartedly supports our mission and collaborates with us to ensure every patient receives top-notch care.

The Samsung V7 ultrasound machine, now stationed in our Women’s Clinic, has opened doors to a new era of remote communication. Our MFM physician can guide our skilled sonographers in real-time while ultrasounds are being performed. This technology is especially crucial considering the diverse linguistic backgrounds of our patients, with approximately 68 languages spoken at our health center. The V7 ensures that language is not a barrier to quality care, as our patients have access to both on-site translation services and remote consultations.

Revolutionizing Obstetrical Imaging:

The Samsung V7 isn’t just a machine; it’s a catalyst for change in obstetrical imaging. With 3D/4D imaging capabilities and exceptional imaging quality, we can now assess fetal anatomy as early as 13 weeks into pregnancy. Traditionally, such assessments were only possible around 18 to 20 weeks. Moreover, maternal size is no longer a limitation, empowering us to comprehensively examine fetal anatomy.

Saving Lives and Ensuring Better Outcomes:

Over the past few months, the Samsung V7 has proven its worth by detecting fetal anomalies early in gestation. This early detection has been pivotal in enabling timely intervention. In fact, two cases resulted in successful fetal surgeries in Houston, where without this technology, such procedures might not have been possible. The remarkable resolution quality of the V7 has led to the identification of fetal abnormalities and high-risk pregnancies sooner, leading to improved outcomes for both fetuses and infants.

Extending the Impact:

Our commitment to equitable healthcare doesn’t stop here. We’re proud to share our plans to open two new women’s clinics in partnership with Hope Cottage by Deep Ellum and Viola’s House in South Dallas in January 2024. With these expansions, we aim to acquire two more Samsung V7 ultrasound machines, extending this innovative care to more communities.

The Samsung V7 ultrasound machine isn’t just a technological marvel; it’s a testament to HHM Health’s unwavering commitment to improving the lives of our patients. Through real-time remote communication, groundbreaking imaging capabilities, and early anomaly detection, this technology is rewriting the story of obstetrical care in our community. As we move forward with our expansions, we look forward to empowering even more lives, one ultrasound at a time.
